Dream Cape Cod Wedding at Wequassett Resort

Allison and Craig celebrated their wedding at the Wequassett Resort on Cape Cod on a beautiful September day. The weather varied throughout the day, from overcast to partly sunny, to full sun and then ended with a thick fog. A gorgeous day without a drop of rain! The day started early with some photos around the grounds of the Wequassett Resort before finding Allison and her bridesmaids.

The girls were getting ready – some were in a salon getting their hair done and others were in Allison’s mom’s room getting their makeup done.

Allison’s mom came back to the room to check on her daughter’s progress.

Before heading over to see the groom and groomsmen get ready, the photographer got photos of the girls before they put on their dresses and especially the photo of the matching flip flops – a gift from Allison to each of the girls.

When I arrived, the groom, Craig, and the groomsmen were struggling with ties. Craig was the most experienced and was trying to help everyone out.

Back in Allison’s room, it was time to put on the wedding dress – her sister helped her into it.

The grounds at the Wequassett Resort are stunning – everywhere you look is picturesque! This spot was close to where the girls were getting ready, so we took a few quick photos before taking Allison to see Craig for their first look.

I picked a spot for their first look off to the side of the main building at the Wequassett Resort. Gorgeous gardens, stone staircases, and ocean views. Beautiful from every angle! I absolutely love how Craig closed his eyes right before Allison tapped him – so sweet!

After they had a few minutes to themselves (and a few photos), the bridal party joined us!

I love these boutonnieres!

Two sisters – Allison’s sister and Craig’s!

These guys grew up on Cape Cod and I hear that a few of them even worked at the Wequassett Resort when they were younger!

After we finished up with photos, it was almost time for the ceremony to begin.

A gorgeous ceremony setting at the Wequassett Resort! Allison and Craig had all sorts of weather on their wedding day and the sun came out in full force for most of their ceremony!

Allison’s niece carried the rings on a pillow – she did a great job (and she was an amazing dancer later in the evening)!

Pure happiness right after the ceremony!!

Allison, Craig and I snuck away for a few minutes while guests moved into cocktail hour… We wanted to take advantage of a little more of the scenery around the Wequassett Resort grounds.

This dock at the Wequassett Resort is one of my favorite spots – I absolutely love it at any time of day and these two made it even more amazing! They were radiating joy and happiness!!

On our way back to join cocktail hour, we made one last stop.

Allison and Craig being announced into cocktail hour! They had a large wedding, so the format was just a little bit different.

While Allison, Craig, and the rest of the guests were enjoying cocktail hour outside, the room was being set up for dinner.

Inside the ballroom, the space was filled with tables, ready for toasts and dinner!

Once everyone was seated, Allison’s dad gave a welcome speech and had great comedic timing! Allison’s sister also gave a toast and so did Craig’s best man!

As day turned into night and guests were enjoying dinner, the outdoor space was transformed into a space for the evening reception and dancing – complete with an amazing band to get things going!

Allison worked at the Sundae School when she was younger – an ice cream shop on Cape Cod – and to commemorate that, Sundae School ice cream sundaes were served!

Allison and Craig – I am so happy for you both and enjoyed every minute working with you both through planning, your engagement session, and your wedding day :)!! Thank you for letting me be a part of it! Wishing you both (and your families too 🙂 – all the best :)!!
