  • The Woodlands Resort Joins Curio Collection by Hilton

The Woodlands Resort, nestled in the heart of The Woodlands, Texas, a short drive from IAH airport and 30 miles north of downtown Houston, has become the first Curio Collection by Hilton property in Texas. This AAA Four Diamond, 402-room resort boasts 75,000 square feet of indoor meeting and event space, complemented by picturesque outdoor function areas. A comprehensive renovation, commencing in Q2, will include redesigned guest rooms slated to debut in the spring. The multimillion-dollar project is meticulously planned to minimize guest disruption.

“Through this exciting partnership with Hilton and Curio Collection, we look forward to expanding our reach and solidifying our position as a leading resort in the region and nationally,” said Scott Spann, Vice President of CoralTree Hospitality Group, which oversees The Woodlands Hotels, including Embassy Suites by Hilton The Woodlands at Hughes Landing. “Furthermore, we are eager to build upon this legacy of excellence with a host of enhancements that will elevate the experience, functionality, comfort and appeal for corporate and social groups, weddings, as well as business and leisure travelers.”

Key investment focuses include wellness and fitness, culinary, and outdoor events, complementing existing amenities ranging from two championship golf courses, a fleet of bikes and kayaks, the Forest Oasis Lazy River and Waterpark to a world-class tennis center with 21 courts, the recently debuted Back Table Kitchen & Bar, and access to over 200 miles of trails.

The 10,000-square-foot spa will undergo a complete renovation, including relocating the spa pool to create a true relaxation space. Complementing this, the fitness center will be expanded and modernized with state-of-the-art equipment. A new lobby bar with water views, a grab-and-go market, and a specialty coffee shop will join upgraded existing restaurants and bars. Overlooking Lake Harrison, the 3,000-square-foot Forest Deck will be transformed into a truly special outdoor venue for meetings, celebrations, and receptions. A curated art program will connect the areas with vibrant visual interest.

“We are thrilled to welcome The Woodlands Resort to our growing portfolio of more than 100 unique hotels and resorts around the world,” said Jenna Hackett, global brand head, Curio Collection by Hilton. “We look forward to welcoming guests and Hilton Honors members to this premier Texas resort destination, which will offer an array of upscale amenities, services and accommodations synonymous with the Curio Collection brand.”
