Room rates at Hale Koa Hotel, a military resort in Hawaii, are subject to change on or before October 1, 2025. Sponsored guest room rates are based on Category III pricing. 100% disabled guests with DD Form 1173 or DD 2765 or next generation ID qualify for Category II pricing. For Category III pricing, DoD ID is required at check-in. Disabled Veterans (DAV) with 0-99% service-connected disability, Purple Heart recipients and former Prisoners of War with VHIC cards, DAV caregivers with official VA letter and ID all qualify for Category III pricing under the Disabled Veterans Equal Access Act.
Category IV pricing applies to PCS/TLA: Single/Double occupancy is $202 for Resort View room type and is subject to availability. Category IV pricing is only for foreign military personnel on U.S. travel orders or assigned to U.S. Military Bases with Common Access Card (CAC). Each room accommodates a maximum of 4 guests. A surcharge of $15 per person per night applies for the 3rd and 4th guest. Children under 18 years of age are free when sharing a room with their parents.
A one-night deposit is required upon booking. This deposit will be deducted from your total room bill upon check-out. The hotel reserves the right to modify or cancel reservations or room rates. Upon arrival, the Front Desk will verify ID to ensure eligibility and the room rate will be adjusted to the correct category. Departure dates will be verified and rates quoted are based upon verified eligibility, category, and number of guests upon check-in.
Reservations are not accepted more than 365 days prior to arrival. To ensure equitable use of the hotel, guests may not stay longer than 30 days or re-register within the next consecutive 90 days. Reservations are confirmed by room type, not by specific location. The hotel attempts to accommodate special requests (e.g., tower type, bed type, adjoining or connecting rooms). However, the hotel cannot guarantee these requests will be met. Note: Adjoining rooms are near each other but do not have a connecting door. Connecting rooms may be available but are also limited.

Room views and interior depicted in room photos are for illustrative purposes only and may not reflect the actual room allocated. A room move fee of $75 will be assessed for each room move after check-in. Reservations are non-transferable to other eligible guests. The hotel is not considered government quarters. Official travelers should contact their travel service for guidance on reimbursement.
Dependents, other than spouse, under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a qualified adult. Cribs are available at no charge upon request. Rollaway beds, extra beds, and air mattresses are not permitted or available. Pets are not allowed, with the exception of service animals in accordance with state and local health regulations and federal ADA regulations.
Personal electrical appliances, such as cooking devices and coffee makers, are not permitted in guest rooms. The hotel is a smoke-free facility, including e-cigarettes in all guest rooms, lanais and public spaces. There are no designated smoking guest rooms. A $500 cleaning fee will be assessed and possible expulsion from the hotel for smoking in guest rooms and on lanais. Sponsors are responsible for informing their guests of the no-smoking policy.
Cancellation Fees: You may cancel up to 30 days prior to your reservation start date without penalty. If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival date, you will be charged one night’s room rate for each room reserved. Early Departure Fees: Should you choose to depart earlier than planned, you will incur an early departure fee of (1) one night’s room and tax. When the hotel is 100% occupied, a waitlist will be established using the following priorities: 1. Active Duty Military Personnel; 2. All other eligible personnel.
If there are no vacancies during your desired arrival dates, please check back periodically. The hotel can also assist in connecting you with nearby hotels with special rates for its guests, based on availability. Even if you stay at another hotel, Hale Koa Hotel’s restaurants and events remain benefits available to you as an eligible guest.
