From the main area, guests can easily access the arcade, convention center, and the North and South guest room wings. Wristbands provided at check-in grant access to rooms and charge privileges when linked to a credit card, while express check-out streamlines departure.
Inside, Kalahari Resort PA is adorned with African-themed decor, making you feel like you’ve stepped into the world of Wakanda from the movie Black Panther. The history and inspiration behind Kalahari Resorts and Conventions is truly impressive, particularly the owner’s efforts to promote entrepreneurship and create diverse partnerships throughout Africa. The wishing well in the front lobby, where the owner donates the coins to communities in Africa to provide clean water, is a meaningful touch.
Accommodations: The spacious guest rooms comfortably accommodate a family of six, with two queen beds, a pull-out sofa bed, a bathroom, and a kitchenette area with a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. A balcony overlooking the outdoor pool and water slides is a fantastic bonus.
Guests can access the water park while waiting for their room to be ready. Simply check in at the front desk and enjoy the amenities while you wait. A text message will notify you of your room number when it’s available.
Water Park: The 220,000 square-foot water park (access included in the room rate) is the main attraction at Kalahari Resort PA. Touted as America’s largest indoor water park, Kalahari doesn’t disappoint, offering everything from thrilling water slides to kiddie pools and private cabanas with personal Jacuzzis. The wave pool, Lazy River, and water slides are popular favorites. Hot tubs, a wave pool, water slides, and thrill rides like the Screaming Hyena provide plenty of excitement for adults as well. Wait times for rides are surprisingly short, averaging around 10 minutes.
Towels and life vests are provided free of charge inside the water park. Remember to return your towels to avoid being charged.
Activities: Beyond the water park, Kalahari Resort PA offers a plethora of activities. The Adventurer’s Club with arts and crafts, outdoor nature trails, an arcade, indoor mini-golf, escape rooms, and mini bowling are great options for kids. Gorilla Grove with outdoor mini golf, zip lines, and a ropes course offers fun for the whole family. Dining: Kalahari Resort PA boasts a variety of excellent dining options. B-Lux, Great Karoo Marketplace, Sortino’s, Zulu Grill, and Cinco Niños all serve delicious meals. Sortino’s is a particular favorite.
