Founded in 1952 by Kemmons Wilson, Holiday Inn has become a trusted hospitality partner for families and business travelers worldwide. In 1969, Holiday Inn Resort Aruba opened its doors, welcoming guests to the vibrant island. As the third hotel built on Aruba’s beaches, it quickly expanded to accommodate growing tourism. By 1975, the hotel boasted 400 rooms, making it the largest on the island at the time. In 1989, the resort further expanded with the addition of the Sea Tower.
With 590 guest rooms and suites, restaurants, beachfront bars, meeting and event spaces, and a spa, Holiday Inn Resort Aruba is now the island’s oldest international hotel brand to retain its original name for 50 years. The resort has hosted numerous 50th-anniversary events throughout the year, beginning with the unveiling of the Hadrey Gallery in the hotel’s main lobby. The gallery, named after the gathering space in traditional Aruban homes, showcases a collection of historical photos of the hotel and its beloved staff members – some of whom have served the hotel for over 30 years.
Located in the heart of Palm Beach, on a pristine stretch of beach and steps away from the island’s best shopping and entertainment, Holiday Inn Resort Aruba provides guests with access to a wide range of activities. IHG®, Holiday Inn’s parent company, has hotels in nearly 100 countries, with 239 hotels and 40,216 rooms across Mexico, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
