The status of trails and lifts at Devil’s Head Resort Merrimac is updated frequently to ensure you have the best possible experience.
OPEN: Trail/Lift is operating and expected to remain open.
OPEN/PM: Trail/Lift is expected to open in the afternoon.
CLOSED: Trail/Lift is not currently operating.
TBD: Trail/Lift is expected to open but an exact time will be determined after completion of snowmaking, grooming, or maintenance.
CLOSED/SG: Trail CLOSED. Snowmaking (S) and/or Grooming (G) is in progress or will continue.
AVAIL: Lift is available to operate as needed (number of lifts operating will be dependent on skier count and other factors).
OPEN/RACE: Trail/Lift is open to participants of a scheduled Race Event.
CLOSED/Build: Terrain Park CLOSED AT THIS TIME for Maintenance or Building.
Note: Please be aware that snow conditions, lift and trail status, and weather conditions are subject to change at any time for any reason. Thin/icy/wet areas may exist on slopes at any time. Snow depths may vary.
*Spring Skiing Conditions – During periods of warmer weather, “Spring Skiing Conditions” will exist. Snow conditions can vary greatly, starting with groomed frozen granular (fast) in the morning, then transitioning to soft wet granular (slow) in the afternoon as temperatures rise, then possibly quickly changing back to loose granular/icy (fast) as temperatures drop in the late afternoon and evening. While slopes are groomed carefully and thoroughly, and generally well covered, thin/icy/wet areas will exist on slopes during Spring Skiing Conditions.
Lifts and Trails marked with ** close at 4:30pm daily – they are not lit for night skiing.
Only Edged Skis & Snowboards with Retention Devices (bindings), and Safety Leashes or Ski Brakes are permitted. No sleds, toboggans, snow tubes, snow bikes, snowshoes, or other similar snow “toys” are permitted on the lifts or trails.
