To secure the best rates and preferred tee times at Pinehurst Resort, book your accommodations and golf package directly with the resort. Pinehurst prioritizes tee times for resort guests and members. To play courses No. 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10, you must be a resort guest or member. If you are not a guest or member and wish to play courses No. 1, 3, 5, or The Cradle, you can call (855) 835-0771, and select option 5, to book a tee time one day in advance. Please note that tee times booked directly with the course are non-cancellable.
Inclement Weather Policy: Once play has begun, the round must be completed that same day. Should you choose not to play due to inclement weather, please visit the main golf shop to discuss your options. Pinehurst Resort is committed to ensuring a positive guest experience.
2025 Pinehurst Resort Golf Course Maintenance Schedule: The 2025 golf course maintenance schedule for Pinehurst Resort is published to ensure the highest quality playing surfaces for golfers. Routine maintenance includes winter closures and aeration.
2025 Golf Course Maintenance Schedule:
Winter Closures:
Several courses at Pinehurst Resort will be closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays weekly throughout the winter for maintenance. Specifically, courses No. 7 and 10 close on Mondays, No. 9 on Tuesdays, No. 8 on Wednesdays, and No. 6 on Thursdays.
In addition, courses will also be closed on select dates in January and February of 2026. For example, course No. 1 will be closed on January 16th, February 6th, and February 27th, 2026. Course No. 2 will be closed on January 13th & 14th and February 10th & 11th, 2025.
*Aeration:
Aeration is performed to improve turf health and drainage. Course No. 9 will undergo full aeration from April 27th to May 8th. Course No. 2 will undergo full aeration and topdressing from July 13th to August 6th. Course No. 4 will have greens aerated from June 1st to June 10th. Other courses, including No. 6, 7, 8, and The Cradle, will also be aerated between May and July.
Summer Fertilization Schedule:
Fertilization is performed periodically during the summer to maintain turf quality. Course No. 2 will be fertilized on Tuesdays, with no afternoon play, from May 1st to August 31st. Course No. 4 will be fertilized on Mondays, closing at 1:00 PM, from May 1st to August 31st. Similarly, Course No. 8 will be fertilized on Wednesdays, with no afternoon play, from May 1st to August 31st. Course No. 10 will also be fertilized on Mondays, closing at 1:00 PM, from May 1st to August 31st. Golf course maintenance at Pinehurst Resort is performed regularly to ensure the best possible golfing experience for guests.
