Tim McGraw has canceled the remaining dates of his 2024 tour due to a serious knee injury requiring surgery. The announcement was made by Sandia Resort & Casino, the venue scheduled to host his August 24th performance in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
McGraw launched his “Standing Room Only” tour in March 2024 to support his album of the same name, released in August 2023. The tour initially concluded in June in San Francisco, California. However, the country singer added several dates for the latter half of 2024 before the cancellation announcement.

According to the official statement released by Sandia Resort & Casino on social media, McGraw sustained the injury while touring and requires orthopedic surgery on both knees. The surgery is scheduled for this month and will prevent him from performing for the remainder of the year.
The cancellation affects several key performances, including a show at Jazz Aspen Snowmass in Snowmass, Colorado on September 1st and a show in Ohio on September 27th.
While expressing regret for canceling the shows and disappointing fans, McGraw affirmed his commitment to focusing on rest and physical therapy to return to the stage as soon as possible. The singer pledged to deliver outstanding performances for audiences for years to come.
This is not the first time McGraw has encountered an incident while performing. In 2022, he fell off the stage during a concert in Arizona. However, he quickly recovered and finished the show. Sandia Resort & Casino, along with his fans, wish him a speedy recovery.
