Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando Resort offers a unique blend of thrilling theme park adventures and the enchanting beauty of the South Pacific. After a day of excitement, guests can retreat to this tropical paradise, immersing themselves in luxury and vibrant Polynesian culture.
The Wantilan Luau dinner show is a must-do experience, offering an authentic taste of Polynesian cuisine and culture through a captivating performance and an all-you-can-eat buffet.
The Wantilan Luau boasts a lavish spread of South Pacific delicacies. Guests can savor a diverse array of flavors under the thatched roof of the Wantilan Pavilion, with views of lush landscaping, the stage, fire pits, and, of course, the tempting buffet. A helpful tip is to sample a bit of everything upon arrival to explore the flavors, then return for favorites before the show begins. Standout dishes include roasted pig, Ahi tuna poke, fire-grilled beef, and jasmine coconut rice. For dessert, the Passion Fruit Crème Brûlée is a highlight. All pair perfectly with a refreshing Mai Tai served in a souvenir tiki cup (included with premium seating).
More than just entertainment, the Wantilan Luau show is a journey through the rich culture and history of the South Pacific.
The story unfolds during the golden age of travel, following the adventures of pilot and explorer Jake, who transported guests throughout Polynesia, sharing his love for the islands’ traditions and culture. Legend has it that Jake’s plane landed at Loews Royal Pacific Resort (guests can see it floating on the lagoon) and, although he disappeared, his adventurous spirit remains. The show unfolds in five acts, taking guests through Hawaii, New Zealand, Tonga, Tahiti, and Samoa. Each act showcases the unique culture of each island, featuring traditional dances, powerful chants, vibrant costumes, rhythmic Nafa drums, swirling Maori Poi balls, thrilling fire knife dancing, and enthusiastic audience participation.
The Wantilan Luau is an immersive cultural experience, offering an unforgettable evening at Royal Pacific Resort Orlando. The combination of delectable Polynesian cuisine and vibrant performances will enhance any Universal Orlando Resort vacation.
